The Story Continues!

Dodging container and port shortages, the shipment of 950 copies of Peter Harrison’s Conservation Edition of SEABIRDS: The New Identification Guide, finally reached the Port of New York last week. Housed in a single container, the shipment is currently underway, heading across North America. Just 1,000 copies printed, these large-format collectors’ books are due to arrive in Seattle in late May.

The first 50 copies of the Conservation Edition were shipped by air from Barcelona in early April and have now reached destinations as far afield as Australia, China, South Africa, North America and Europe. Already hailed as a modern classic, the Conservation Edition includes hitherto unseen artwork, not published in last year’s smaller field guide version.

I was so delighted to receive these lovely comments from one of the first recipients of the Conversation Edition. I thought I would share these with you today.
